Description:

KRD14 series shock response spectrum test system is full pneumatic driven vertical lifting SRS test equipment with special design, easy operation, reliable structure, and convenient maintenance. The shock response spectrum is intended for measuring the force of shock motion on components, equipment and electrical and electronic products may experience complex transient shocks, and to assess the functional adaptability and structural integrity of the test product in the shock environment. The shock spectrum is the analysis basis for the anti-shock design of the equipment, and it is also the basic parameter to control the product shock environment simulation test. KRD14 series pneumatic shock response spectrum tester can better simulate the shock wave and shock energy suffered in the real environment, so as to evaluate the reliability of the product under the impact environment.

System composition:

The KRD14 shock response spectrum test system is composed of mechanical system (test system), pneumatic system, and control system. The system block diagram is shown in the following figure.


Shock Test System

KRD14 shock response spectrum test system is a shock test machine that uses an expansion shock cylinder as the power, and the shock installation table generates a response spectrum.KRD14 shock response spectrum test table includes working table, shock head, shock bracket, shock cylinder, programmer, base etc.


Waveform Generators

The KRD14 shock response spectrum test system is equipped with a set of half sine waveform generators, which is mainly made of engineering rubber (considering the stiffness and cohesive force of rubber). The waveform generator is generally designed in several different thicknesses, as shown in follow. Different thicknesses are connected in series to form a variety of stiffnesses to achieve different shock spectrum values.


Measurement and Control System Software

The shock signal measurement and control system of the equipment is specially matched with the shock response spectrum test equipment to realize the control of the shock response spectrum test machine, the acquisition and analysis of the acceleration signal, including multi-channel data acquisition, frequency analysis, shock response spectrum analysis, and the display, printing and saving of the analysis results. The block diagram of the system is shown in the following figure.



Reasons and advantages of shock response spectrum instead of classic shock

1) The purpose of studying shock is not to study the shock waveform itself, but to pay more attention to the effect of shock on the system, or to study the damage potential of the impact motion to the system. It is difficult and inaccurate to describe the damage potential with the time history of the shock, and sometimes leads to wrong conclusions. But the shock response spectrum specification can avoid such errors;

2) The classic shock specification strictly specifies the type of pulse, while the shock response spectrum specification does not make strict requirements on the type of shock pulse and the method of generating shock, so it has greater flexibility on experiments;

3) The shock response spectrum simulation is closer to the actual shock environment than the specified shock pulse waveform simulation;

4) For the engineering designer, through the analysis of the shock response spectrum, the maximum dynamic load of each part of the equipment can be more accurately calculated, thereby predicting the potential damage of the shock; at the same time, it can also provide a more flexible test technique to ensure the repeatability of the test.

What are the shortfalls of SRS?
Unlike the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the SRS does not include phase specification. It cannot regenerate the original pulse from an SRS. Also, different acceleration pulses with different amplitude, frequency content, and duration can produce an equivalent shock spectrum.
However, SRS remains the most important tool for simulating the real shock environment.
